Mountain Plains Fabrics is owned and operated by the Currin family and is located in Hillsville, Virginia. We will celebrate 15 years of service to the community on May 1, 2010 and our official Internet debut at the same time. Formerly Utt's Fabrics, the business had been in operation for many, many years. When Hallie planned to retire from teaching in 1995, Freddie decided that they should buy the stock of the store and operate the business.

With the help of daughter-in-law Joyce and her five month old twins, Catherine and Charles, the store opened on May 1, 1995. Mountain Plains Fabrics carries a variety of fabrics and notions including cottons, upholstery, leather, polar fleece, flannel, pre-printed quilt tops, pre-printed pillow panels, thread, scissors, needles, knitting supplies, buttons, foam, and quilt frames.

On any given day at Mountain Plains Fabrics, you can find Hallie, Freddie, Joyce, granddaughter Brenda, and great granddaughter Savannah along with others getting ideas or help with their current sewing project. We pride ourselves on providing quality products at reasonable prices and always give the best customer service possible.
